Market Research - How To Research Your Competitors Online?

Hello everyone :)

Yes, it has been a long time since we last discussed the issue of market research. Actually I spend a fair amount of time online researching, and sometimes hiring coders online to help me as well.
Ok, today I want to tell you about researching your competitors. Researching our competitors is an important task to do, whether you do it yourself or hire someone to do it for you.

Now, we know our keywords and our search terms and we are ready to research our competitors.So, lets get started :)
Bring your list of keywords with you.
Type your main keyword into "Google" browser,
Create a folder in favourites and call it "Competitors Sites" We are going to save these sites for later use
Save all the sites that appear on the first page, (you can include the second page as well if you like)in a sub-folder called "Google".
Now, we will do the same with "Yahoo",
And the same applies for "MSN"

For this part you many need to assign another day if you are doing this yourself.
We are going to visit all the sites in our folder.
What are going to look for?
Please write a note or create a document and save this information,
List the site name?
Does it offer Free information? What? How
Does it sell something? What?
Do you notice any adsense ads embedded in the site?
Can you answer the question of how do you think this site makes money?
Does it offer affiliate commissions?
Can you see any advertisers blocks (Non adsense).
Anything that you'd like to add ;)
Once you have completed the above task then you deserve a break.

Because you dont want to miss out on all the non-english speaking traffic to your site or blog.
Think of your adsense revenue translate your page in other languages and get it indexed by non english speaking based search engines. Your adsense ads will appear in another language which means more clicks. Who said there are no advertisers in non english speaking countries?
